SG 2016

With just one stop away from Kuala Lumpur, I decided to extend my trip and cross borders via bus to Singapore last weekend. With a boyfriend lots of people to see, free accommodation from friends  condo and awesome awesome food, I'd say why not? But to borrow a famous line, Singapore is always a good idea. ;)

Here are the 3-day looks with again, using only one footwear for lite-packing purposes and for of course the comfort of walking around. Pics were taken in Lohrong Ah Soo (where I stayed at), Orchard Road, Marina Bay Sands and Singapore Art Museum at Bras Basah. Enjoy. :)

Genting Highlands (for work)

Don’t be misled. Yes, pictures were taken in Genting Highlands in Malaysia but I was confined within the hotel only as it was a business conference for 2 days. And yes, people might misinterpret my personal posts as not appropriate but I just want to say I did my job nailed my presentation and my boss was happy. So, puhr-lease?!?!

I’ve never been to this part of KL but the name of the place is already very suggestive of what to expect. Tthink Tagaytay or Baguio back in PH and the links will show you what I wore on my recent visits there. So I packed a trench coat and my lace-up flats for a change for lite-packing purposes. Wow, I just dropped two bombs in there. Flats and light packing that is not typically Cassey, haha. But sorry to say Victoria Beckham, I can concentrate in flats. Lol!

Yes, the 30k allowance gives me freedom to choose three of my fiercest pumps per day specially that I’m delivering a presentation to the clients but for some reason I have found a way to “re-use” items for this trip and pull different looks. The lace-up flats is something new as well and I want to make the most out of it – atleast here in KL. Check out the 3-day looks below. J

Red Hair Bow

Ever since I cut my hair I have been hearing almost positive feedback from everyone. Yay! Words like trendy, sophisticated, look like a doll and resemble Scarlett Johansson (while wearing a black widow like outfit in the gym, seriously?) were some of my favorites. :) Seriously, what’s with the nervous breakdown panic I had minutes after I left the salon? Haha!

I still caress it as if it still extends beyond my nape though, I comb it often to deal with the unruly tips and it still baffles me how I still spend the same amount of time with the blowdryer in the morning with this length. Lol! Whenever I dance, I miss the hair flips badly. Boo hoo! Haha! And I just realized that this is also one of the things I will miss – my red bow style. So I thought I gather all the previous looks because it’s gonna take some time before I do it again. :* Enjoy!

Sheer Back

I don't really subscribe to the notion of finding "the One" in a bar. But it doesn't hurt to enjoy the night and music with friends (atleast that's my purpose of coming *wink*) in a feel-good outfit, does it? This post listed the tricks for someone to stand out in a bar and I sure have applied trick #1 in the past. That is, to wear a top with an interesting back to get noticed.

For me, it's just a way of balancing things. I don't have anything to show infront so I let my back do the talking. :P Admittedly, I don't often go to the bar but the tops give me an excuse to let loose sometimes. :) I have to atleast put a disclaimer here that it didn't work for me 'coz I'm done meeting guys in bars but don't forget to check the said link for all the other surefire tricks that may apply. ;)

Gorgeous Blue

Normally, I don’t pay attention to beauty pageants. When everybody in the Philippines was tuned in to Miss Universe last month, there I was on my desk working on my emcee script for my friend’s wedding. Haha.  But you really can't escape all the funny memes in your wall about the pageant's controversy, can you?

Okay, usually I would just hear the answer after the competition is over to check for substance and that’s it. And for our representatives, how she speaks in English. Sorry, chalk it to the English tutor in me and some embarrassing local pageants situation here in the past. I don’t care about the rest because I’m not really in favor of women objectification.

Having said that, I don't have anything against women who join these pageants. As a matter of a fact, Pia has just won my affection especially the way she handled the whole debacle. This win has surely brought a new light to how us Filipinos are viewed around the world. I’m sure that there are some other skills acquired in joining traditional beauty pageants like body discipline, self-confidence etc. but still, I’d rather see young women compete and get rewarded for activities that aren’t 80% appearance and 20% skills. ;)

So. A few days prior to the competition, I wore this blue dress and captioned it Miss U because of the bouquet I was holding (for the pics only). Everybody was talking about the competition then and it was just my silly little way of joining the hype. Who would’ve thought Pia would win in her infamous blue gown? I think in a way I was kind of predicting the win, no? Haha! Sorry I just didn’t have any other way to blab this. :P Congratulations to Pia Wurtzback though. She really did us proud. :)

All Things New

"A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life." - Coco Chanel

So, I cut my hair. New year, new look. Lol! It was shocking since I’ve never had my hair this short before and this is the only time I have it colored professionally. Like, seriously. The last time I was under peer pressure from my best friend then who wanted us to try some home treatments. Haha.

Friends seem to approve of it though, judging by the number of likes in my posts. Aaah, social media stats is the new way to gauge things. But somehow it also got me thinking, are they really approving the look or they think I’m going through some break-up issue? In any case, I clearly felt the love folks. Thanks. Lol.

And to debut this look, I choose to pair it with what else? Some of the new things in my wardrobe. *insert sheepish look emoji* Well, I’m sure all of us had something new for the year right? So there goes my black tutu and yellow pumps. Yellow! I’ve been looking for the longest time. Yay!

Balmain x H&M Recreation

You are probably wondering (as a fashion enthusiast), what are the items that sold out in record time last year? No? Well, let me atleast tell you some of it anyway. =))

I'm only going to talk about one of those items and you could have guessed that Kendall Jenner being one of the endorsers played part in it. I mean seriously, anything that that family touches turns to gold! And let's just add the fact that Adidas Yeezy Boost sneakers that the whole family wears got sold out in 15 minutes. Yowza! Anyway I digress, I am talking about the Balmain x H&M collaboration. The entire collection was sold out in minutes too.

Like this is news right? H&M's collab with designers is one of the most anticipated events in the fashion calendar. This is already their second collab this year after Alexander Wang and we knew what happened there (30 mins record). My favorite pieces from the collection would have to be the jackets and the jewelries. But as though I stood a chance there. Sigh. So, what a girl's gotta do? Re-create. ;)

2015 Lookback

Apologies for the late post. This blog certainly has some tardiness issue. Lol! Like how some of the looks below remain unposted for lack of concept about them. ;) They were carefully selected though and considered as some of my favorites for 2015. :) Wishing everyone a great 2016. :)
